Hey guys so this week I bring you, my first blog interview with Jess Arcon known as Acron fitness, hope you enjoy.
1. First of all, could you tell us a bit about your blog (what you write about act.)?
My blog is a fitness and lifestyle blog, so I blog about everything from workouts to healthy eating to general lifestyle posts. I try to keep my blog varied so that I can write about everything that interests me and so that my readers don’t get bored of seeing the same content all the time.
2. What inspired you to start blogging?
When I first started blogging, a few years ago, I did it as way of letting out my feelings. My blog was basically a diary and it was when I was going through a really hard time so it got very personal. I started THIS blog because I wanted to share the things I am passionate about with other people and possibly even help other people.
3. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I would have to say that creating the content is my favourite part. I love thinking of new ideas for blog posts, writing them, editing them etc. I would do it whether people read my blog or not! I also love how blogging has introduced me to lots of people, I’ve made a lot of fantastic friends because of it!
4. What's the worst thing about blogging/ things you don’t like?
I don’t really like how exposed it makes me feel sometimes. There are a lot of people that enjoy hating on people online and if somebody did that on my blog I think it would have a really negative effect on me. Having said that, I haven’t ever received any ‘hate’ or even negative feedback on my blog - it’s all been really positive and kind!
5. Is blogging how you expected it to be?
Not at all. I had no idea how much work goes into maintaining a blog and I definitely didn’t think I would ever meet lots of wonderful people because of it! My blogging journey has been full of lovely surprises!
6. Have you got any advice for those wanting to start a blog?
Just do it! There’s honestly no need to put it off or think too much. I know a lot of people would say otherwise but it’s one of those things that, if you don’t like it and it’s not for you, you can just stop! Blogging has been a huge part of my life for a while now and it makes me (and a LOT of other people) very happy, so go ahead, start blogging!
7. What are you most proud of?
I am really proud of how happy I am right now. That might sound silly but I spent a long time doing things that didn’t make me happy, so I’m proud of the fact that I put my happiness first and took action. My blog has been a huge part of that!
8. What are your hobbies besides blogging?
I love working out, I do weight training 4 times a week after work! I also really enjoy my job, I’m doing an apprenticeship in social media marketing and I’m just finding it all very interesting! Other than that, I read a lot and I enjoy doing creative things like sewing and baking 🙂
9. Would you ever consider starting a YouTube channel?
Yes, I’ve thought about it a lot but just don’t have the confidence to do it yet. I also feel like I don’t know enough about filming and editing videos to be able to do it to the standard I would like so if I ever do decide to start making YouTube videos, I’ll be doing a lot of research into that side of it first!
10. How do you come up with content/find content for your blog?
I actually wrote a blog post all about how I find inspiration for my blog posts here: http://bit.ly/25Zy97B but basically, I read a lot of other people’s blogs and get inspiration from them, I join in Twitter chats every now and then which always inspires me and I like to take inspiration from my everyday life.
